Summary: Christopher C. Knight, PhD. B.Th, M.A. is the Executive secretary for the International Society for Science and Religion (ISSR), Cambridge, UK. He received a Ph.D. from the University of Manchester in astrophysics, a B.Th. from the University of Southampton/ Salisbury and Wells Theological College, and an M.A. from the University of Cambridge. He has published many journal articles on religion and science and several books including “The God of Nature: Incarnation and Contemporary Science” Minneapolis, Fortress Press, 2007. He is co-author of a recent work with Nancey Murphy entitled: Human Identity at the Intersection of Science, Technology and Religion. The ISSR is a private organization where membership is by invitation only and includes or has included, the leaders in the field of theology and science including such names as Francis Ayala, Wolfhart Pannenberg, Arthur Peacocke, John Polkinghorne, Charles Townes, and Seyyed Hossein Nasr, to name a few.
He is a convert to Orthodoxy and also a priest.
